Train Poem by Foster Teegarden

Train

I'm at a crossroad
with an oncoming freight train
blocking the right road,
freezing the blood in my veins.

Trial and error
has never been my forte.
Can't look in mirrors
to see the backs of pretty pates.

I want one and done,
to find perfection quickly.
Promise I won't run
from those chosen personally.

But to follow packs
has to be the way to go.
Well, it's not for me.
I'll wait for the train to go.
