Train Of Thought Poem by Terry Donovan

Train Of Thought

Rating: 5.0

There's a little railway station
In the countryside near here
And a little old steam engine
Stops there just one day each year

With its little wooden carriages,
Where it comes from no-one knows,
But I once bought a ticket
And I do know where it goes.

It was just a one-way ticket
And it's just a single track,
It took me somewhere special.
But it didn't bring me back.
