Transformation Poem by Christopher Montalvo

Transformation

Hate fills the soul, destruction fills my mind
Leaving a gaping hole, my heart being torn from the inside
Emptiness is overwhelming, pain flares to no avail
But, Ignorance will not consume me, my soul is not for sale
Payments overshadow thoughts, with my pride shattered constantly
But hope and happiness was what He brought, Instantly restoring the faith inside of me
As the mist slowly disappears, the shining light exemplified new life
Left my eyes filled with tears, my felicity was illuminated by the sunshine
