Trapped By Self Destruction Poem by Deborah Cromer

Trapped By Self Destruction

Rating: 4.3

Building around ourselves a world without love
Never even thinking to look above
Pain, hurt and ageless tears
Past the time and beyond the years
Into a future with lots in store
Offering love, life, and so much more
Peace and freedom are what some may need
Seeking a powerful person to lead
Hoping for one to show the way
To guide us through each and every day

WoW! I love this. I can't agree with you more, it's sad to see. However, i have found 'someone' to lead me, He is always faithful, He never leaves nor forsakes me. That's why I can be sure that I am taken care off, He shares my burden. God, was my answer, perhaps He is yours too(that is whoever is reading this comment) . All the best! nangula

Very sweet poem Deborah... although it pains me to think of needing someone to lead me (as few people ever live up to our expectations of them) . This piece instills hope and desire to see us become more than what we aspire for as seldom to we live up to our own expectations much less someone else's. Great Write!
