Trend Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Trend

Trend

Breakfast in plate
Follow daily trend
At table, sit on chair
Eat and read my paper.

City is far away
We dislike each other.

Love living with trees
Admire the breeze
Fanning my bare skin.

Suddenly, in my sight
Comes a bird, all alone
As if warns and alarms!

Wordless are both of us
Lot is said, but with eyes.

Weigh my words to speak,
To question: "What is this? "

Shockingly feel magic
She knows my language.

"Don't you see? " she asks me.

Take sip of my coffee
And bird moves on tree.

"What is there to be seen?
Here? In balcony? "

"My plan, drawings…"
She says and explains:
"…to make a small nest."

On floor, I see leaves…

With my books and coffee
In my hands, I take leave.
