True Devotion Poem by THEODORE MOSLEY

True Devotion

You give your all in all and your life brings you into a web of unforeseen tragedies.

Tears of calibrated times forces you to engage in emotions that haunt your journey.

Your awards are not rewards of holding fast; accolades of burning desires traps your mind for soothing moments.

Torments of your flesh cries out for healing when you are entombed with fires of desires.

Crept in unawares were the falsehood of love that dominated your eyes of trust.

Mr. Dream Merchant became the bureau of investigations that pain could not erase.

The enemy of time eliminated your sleep as you walked towards dawn to hear the voice of 'be still and know that I am GOD'.

His love commended you for your fight of faith that you disregarded for pleasures of anointed flesh.

Seeking reformation you found destitute of words that held you captive.

The truth of his lies separated you from the hope of charity that would guide you.

Armed with your weapons of revenge you fell into an abyss of your own creativity.

Your wrath endangered you without consultation of truth and righteousness.

True devotion; But seek you first the kingdom of GOD, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
