True Love's Light Poem by Robert L. Bixler III

True Love's Light

Solitarily hung, single beat,
This heart glows lonely in the dark.
Longing for sound of repeat,
This lively recluse does lark.
Intensely still hue of emotion,
Acts as perfect chemical potion
To call forth a righteous unison;
Pale glow becomes holy worshiped sun.
Till such moment of transcendence,
This rhythmic drum shall beat,
In silent respect of true love’s seat,
Till dark hatred reaches full evanescence.
Can such dark, reclusive eyes
See true love’s light through veils of lies?
