Trust Him

Of sin and shame to get our fill
We disobey God’s plan
We rob we cheat we lie and kill
Raping our fellow man

Seeking the devil’s cup to drink
Of Satan’s evil flow
There’d be no depth we wouldn’t sink
No length we’d fail to go

God says to love with all our might
Treat all our neighbours fair
To live in peace walk in the light
Serving with tender care

But steeped in sin we walk at night
We rob our neighbour blind
In drugs and booze we take our flight
To ease our troubled mind

Its Satan’s plan to keep us weak
Our fellow man to hate
In darkest hell a place to seek
To share his gruesome fate

He’ll feed our minds on lies and lust
Till flesh begins to fail
Till heart and soul grovel in dust
Within our self made jail

A pitiful state, yet not quite lost
True hope stands ever by
Turn to The Lamb who paid the cost
Who chose for us to die

Whatever hateful seed we’ve sown
How deep our neighbours pain
When faith we place on Christ alone
Our Hope died not in vain
