Tune At The Border-Fortress (Five Lü) Poem by Luo Zhihai

Tune At The Border-Fortress (Five Lü)

★ Tune at the Border-fortress (Five Lü)

☆ Poetry by Li Bai (701 - 762, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954 -, China)

In May the Tianshan Mountain snow
No flowers, only cold
Fluted with tune of breaking off branches of the willows
But no any spring scenery to see
Fought with the golden drum by day
Held saddle to sleep at night
Would like to take the sword of mine
To cut Loulan enemies straight

◆ Chinese Text

★ 塞下曲(五律)

☆ 李白 诗

五月天山雪
无花只有寒
笛中闻折柳
春色未曾看
晓战随金鼓
宵眠抱玉鞍
愿将腰下剑
直为斩楼兰
