Turning Tipsy On Water Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Turning Tipsy On Water

I see the point of Emerson
He when says: a poet is a person
Tipsy that turns on water.

Much as one loves a daughter,
He's one who loves poetry—
Not for its rich tapestry,

Penmanship, nor yet fine art,
But for the sheer chemistry
Of a feeling heart!

A poet sure is a person
Tipsy that might turn on water,
To today's pens liquor's still quicker!
