Twenty One Harvest Moons Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Twenty One Harvest Moons

A kid wishing it'd not get dark soon,
If it might, there would soon be full moon,
A Harvest Moon at that,
Which, in fond love would pat
Him, when dark nights would look bright like noon!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Thirty seven years, and yet a kid indeed! Sachin Tendulkar has
seen 21 Harvest Moons in his cricketing career and he is still a
kid, wonder struck, while continuing to cajole the Harvest Moon
to lead him with his silvery light so that darkling midnights
brighten up like noon while he breaks many a record.

I must admire your ability to mine poems from a pile. Even I had to read my poem again to know what it was about. Thank you so much, Edward Louis.
