Twenty Years Ago Poem by Dr. Yves Joseph Jeudy

Twenty Years Ago

On a cold day of October
twenty years ago a gorgeous flower, a tulip,
emerged wonderfully in the world.

Just after the sun rose, a princess was born;
no one could identify her because of her gloomy
beauty and also her resemblance to Cleopatra.

Because of her dark skin many emotions emerge,
but her soul is pure and immaculate.

Gorgeous tulip, life will always bring
marvelous thing under your angelic feet.

And everyone, really, will be charmed by your
divine and eternal aroma
Eternal flower continue to charm human hearts.
