Two Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Two

Two walls for far too long erected high,
Two truths—for oh, how long—have hid behind:
Pursuing temporary peace of mind,
Perceiving people briskly passing by;
Two lines are parallel upon the sky,
Two masquerades too far yet too entwined:
Announcing two poor victims merely blind,
Aspiring not two hearts solidify.
One wall, though strong, it still does have a crack,
On purpose, plays one song profound, intense:
Illuminating half forsaken black,
To tempt another dark so dearly hold,
Disclose acceptance, sparks—at last—dispense,
And put an end to two decades of cold!
