Un- Assuming Me Poem by derrick foster

Un- Assuming Me

I can’t be who you want me to be
I can’t be every face and body you’re afraid of
It’s too much to take n
And I’m not the representative
There are many capable of what is stuck in your mind
I’m not one of them
I surpass those thoughts
I’m beyond your assumption
That’s not me at all
But you’ll never get past the assumption to know
You try being what you think
