Unbearable Realization Poem by Aimee Rozen

Unbearable Realization

I want to see a loving face and gentle eyes.
I want to feel a hand intertwined with mine.
I want to hear someone say they love me,
and know they really mean it.
I'm so tired of being alone.
But even more so than that,
I no longer want to be in the company of others,
and feel more lonely than ever.
Apollo, you left and deserted me.
But, you never even loved me.
Then again, neither does he.
