Sun rays bids
Mankind goodbye,
With shadows of
Humanity fading by,
The horizon darkens.
In Lake Turkana,
The despair of
Waters gone bad is eminent,
As the fisherman pulls
Out an empty tired net.
With a wrinkled face
He looks at the
Infertile waters
With bitterness,
Once again the
Waters gave birth
To stillborns,
As the uncertainty
Of the certain continues:
Tomorrow he shall
Be back to cast
Down his fears.
As the wind
Of death blows
Across the households;
Dry stones of fire
Stares at the
Fisherman's wife wistfully,
She too will
Have to face
Her fears and
Run away with the toddler.
