Underneath Morning Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Underneath Morning

A friendship budded,
Curious in nature.
Soon.
The look of love blossomed in their eyes.
Exploring the beautiful red petals dipped in bronze paint.
Carefully unfolded by each others caress.
A kaleidoscope of emotion that flourished into shapes seen behind closed eyelids.
Daring to eat from the fruit nurtured
From smiles, soon turned to laughs.
Playful in nature, as the
Reddish brown vases sat aside soon began to crack beside the sheets from which they lay.
Succulent, the pulp that filled their lips.
Wilting in one another's grasp.
The vase cracked all the way open.
Spilling them both onto the ground.
With one last look at each others vase.
They plotted themselves in the ground.
Entwined in each other, by the fence of where they first met.
