Undreaming Poem by Satish Verma

Undreaming

The euphemism goes―
beyond the soft
feather, becoming weightless.

You must put it in
the hysteria, after the
laughing gas was released.

The triumph and defeat
of the rising breasts―
ultimately gave in against,
the coronation.

The brooms were in plenty
to sweep the rubble
after the sky fell―

between the old
and young.
