Undying Love

My wayward soul was plain to see
In filth I walked as dead
How could You Lord have still loved me?
Shameless in Satan’s bed

My lover was the devil then
With him was life such fun
With him I lived right up till when
I heard about Your Son

I heard The Truth and saw The Way
How thrilled I felt inside
When all at once I heard Him say
For me He came and died

I thought my God how could it be
However could He know?
How could my Saviour even see?
When dying long ago

But now I know before my birth
You’ve known my chosen path
You knew the life I’d live on earth
Would lead me to Your wrath

Nothing I’d say or ever do
Could win a place above
Nothing could change my selfish view
Short of undying love

I know that love and know its mine
I know because of grace
My Saviour’s blood was poured like wine
That I may see Your face

I thank my God my Lord and King
I’ll thank You all The Way
I’ll sing Your praise for everything
Forever and a day
