Unkind Truth Poem by Gautam Sen

Unkind Truth

Truth is not to be known always
Disclosed once doesn’t nicely pay,
More so when it’s a different one
From facts stated by loved someone.
But your sixth sense would lead to that
To know about the real fact.
You’ll think your thoughts aren’t wrong
As long as you can keep you strong.

Truth has a nature very unkind
to flash inside a weakened mind
in an undesirable way,
to take you aback; you can say!
The facts you know that may not match,
Peace of mind it may try to snatch.
But truth is a truth, it dignifies
life as a whole to fight all lies.
