Unlingered Thirst Poem by Alaghde Kelvin Terngu

Unlingered Thirst

Rating: 5.0

Under a blistering dessert sun
my camel and i stand alone
a mirage of lake drags our tired feet long
seeming real,

As illusions are very few metres
the lake shifts further till we reach
finally a water hole
i bask in the euphoria of wellnes

My camel drank a whole the river water
as i sipped some droping drops
our thirst quenched life rejuvenated
as we jubilated
and we are back on our feet again.
