Unlucky Day Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Unlucky Day

The diamond:

Oh today
she lost her way
storms blew around the bay
her hat flew miles across the moor
and ended its journey on the ocean floor
with embarassment well concealed
prayer was her only shield
all she could do
was pray.
