Unpacking Gold Poem by Arno Le Roux

Unpacking Gold

Take the hand that you hold most dear
The hand you can't live without near
Hand that helps you see most clear
Of all the beauty whispers in your ear

Your days are full and busy but short
Dear and close to you memories import
One day a time make your mind a fort
And never without a kiss leave port

Walk slow and hold eyes skyward
As miracles many but also numbered
Slow to judge fast to kiss never backward
As this now here should be savoured

You will never have again this moment
Can and must seek every amusement
And share love your angel oponent
Make love in life your only improvement

As the master of time holds the curtain
Many seconds you will feel the burden
Memories will carry your hope for certain
As the show ends when you touch the curtain

You already walked missed kisses past
Can you know how long the next one last?
This is now and made of gold and cast
Day by day unpacked until empty at last
