Unplanned Poem by Marilyn Jean

Unplanned

The day was meant to be
It was well planned
And I knew all about it
Just it did not happened
I was needed in the class
Then batteries died in my keyboard
And so, I could not work
Made it home a bit earlier
After tidying up
And planning for next week
Then more chores at home
Then the garden and the shopping
Now I think of painting
But sleeping would be much better
I am exhausted, truly
I plan to start my running
Tomorrow morning getting back
In my trainers will be fun
But likely very tiring too
Don't expect me to write much
Things seem to go unplanned
Monday I have a grand plan
For one day, with myself
I thought to say could we meet
And have coffee and a smile
But likely this would not please
So I don't ask, I don't
Unplanned, all
