Until We Meet Again Poem by Harlequin Rose

Until We Meet Again

I thought she was righteous
but she was vain
too busy chasing the rainbows
in her head
that convinced her
she was more than what she proved to be
and she proved to be exhausting
but she should have looked both ways
before she crossed me
she was a victim of too many cliches
and there's more to the story
than what she claims
I lost so much sleep
worrying about who she'll be
when she realizes who she really is
I gave her my shoulder to cry on
I gave her my friendship to lean on
I gave her my word to rely on
I gave her everything
and she violated me
she took my word
and threw it in my face
in order to keep the pace with thugs
but I've got my eyes up
until we meet again...my love.
