Unwanted Guests Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Unwanted Guests

Unwanted guests

Cockroaches are smart
They know I live alone
They decide to divide
"Night for you, day for us."

When by chance I'm early
Find them run for hiding
Brutal I can be.

If catch them live around
Crush them using shoe to my fist.

I was kind and harmless
They bred numerous
Everywhere was cockroach
Even in the fridge, in my food.

But still, now and then
Silently I watch them
They are so miraculous.
