Unwavering Illusions Poem by Salvie Rosales

Unwavering Illusions

Rating: 5.0

I thought of love as understanding;
that lovers’ amend to stay standing.
Is it castle in the sky filled with whimsy;
and abused because of one's fantasy?

I thought of love as patience;
will endure through its existence.
As lovers to mutual imperfections
unfair allusion by perceptions.

I thought of love as forever;
as destiny works whenever.
Unspoken words full of wonder;
will bring rainbows out of thunder.

I thought all thoughts gathered;
illusions bursting and be bothered.
Why not cling to hearts’ desires,
as love is eternal that never retires.
