Unworthy Poem by Reanna Thornton

Unworthy

What does it mean to have worth?
Is it something you earn
Or are rewarded with
When you do something right
Like a cookie for a child.

If there is nothing inside in the begining
Then how does one get anything to have worth then?
If we start empty, a dark void inside
How does it get filled?

What deeds are holy and good?
Who considers what we do to be good or bad?
Who has that right?
Who is born worthy and who isn't?

The thieves come and steal
What little worth I had
To spend years to collect the few coins of worth
To have them stolen at once.
Why should I bother to gather more
To have them stolen again?

Am I worth saving?
Will someone tell me
