All your life
Your family told you to dream as big as the sky
Don't ever back down
And you'll one day fly.
You can be anything you want
Just set your mind to it
Reach for the stars
Take it one step at a time, little bit by bit.
I'm here to tell you now,
If you don't have a dream
You'll never get to live it.
You have a flame in you,
You better start now trying to get it lit.
Find whatever it is that makes you happy
Try different things
And always have an open mind.
Be yourself no matter what you do
Because your destiny will find you.
Have faith in God and he'll lead you down the right path.
Believe in yourself above all
If not,
You'll be the only reason you fall.
I know your parents have drilled this into your head
You've probably heard it more than you wanted
But I sure hope you paid attention
Because it's your life in your hands
Where will your shooting star land?
Will you have everything you've ever dreamed of?
I can't give you the answer,
But I can give you the best advice to get you there.
Remember, it all starts with a dream or two.
Don't depend on anyone else,
Because it's all up to you.
