Used Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Used

My Life's a Puzzle, a merry-go-round.
I'm always ending up in the lost and found.
No one to claim me as their own,
just Use and Discard, until I'm all gone.

I can't go on, it's killing me, the pain and heartache,
they don't care to see. What they want is different,
baby I'll take you there, put your hand in mine,
trust me, have no fear!

I think you're beautiful, you know I care.
Now give me your love, so I can go elsewhere.
It's a game to them, it's a lot of fun, an emotional yo-yo,
they can have on the run.

Like a snack into hand, they devour with one gulp!
Scattered limbs and pieces, give way to only a stump!
The tree, that was flourishing, growing stronger, day by day,
has suddenly been dismembered, cast aside, thrown away.

OK, you say, it's all my fault! You let yourself be sold and brought! I'll take the blame, I was a little naive. I was ripe for the picking, and too ready for the thieves!

So, I'll just try to keep my feelings to myself.
Close my heart and my eyes, never desire anyone else.

Cause, if I don't now, I might not have this chance again.
To demolish, Man's Seduce, Use and Discard Plan!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Taken from the book: 'Tears To Triumphant, The Trials Of Life'

We were never created to take advantage of any Soul!

Strive to be a Divine Messenger of Goodness. Truly learn, how to love and care for others, as we do for ourselves. Remembering, that we shall always reap, what we have sown...

So, where's the blessing, in treating people wrong? Nowhere... T.G.
