Valentine Poem by Surya Pratap Singh

Valentine

Asking you this at night's nine
Will you be my valentine,
Under this grapevine,
To blend the feelings of yours with mine,
In this moment so sublime,
This occasion will start,
Bringing together inordinate no of souls,
Which kept years and years, away apart,
Even the clock will be celebrating this day,
The short hand will be hugging the long hand,
Twice, on twelve,
one in the night and the other in the day,
My phone will ping,
And yours will ding,
With alphabets 'I' and 'you',
separation between them filled by 'love',
Those three words, will summon up,
And aim to our hearts,
With an arrow of I love you,
The fruits will be kissing the leaves,
The birds will be kissing the tress,
And I'll be beside you,
Driving your lips with mine,
With every comfort, with every ease,
From this day so beautiful,
I promise you to love plentiful,
As they open, your beautiful eyes,
I promise to glance in them, every sunrise,
I promise to collect every diamond,
That roll down your cheeks,
I promise to pace down,
All the pain,
I promise to stand by you,
In every disdain,
One above all,
This promise is,
May i be far,
May i be near,
You will feel my presence,
In every ray of light,
In every crackle of sound that you hear,
Even after I have died,
To you only my words will arrive,
They will be the only way we will meet,
Their rhyming will explain,
how passionately we used to kiss
