Veneer Poem by Mohammad Saif

Veneer

Amid this vociferousness,
Enervative endeavours,
Smiles, façades,
Songs and dances
Of chasers of pleasures;
Wintry breezes,
Sleets and snow-
In a realm so new
And world unknown, are
Frozen thoughts,
Exhausted faces;
An unheard voice
Of silence.
