Ventre

Desconheco o ventre que me deu vida...
Mas pela vida, em si, lhe sou grato.
Pelo que sou e pelo que sofro,
Sou feliz.

Entre sonhos, me vi morto,
Acabado, exterminado, sem defesa,
E te agradeco,
Ventre desconhecido...

Por tudo oque me negastes,
Pelo carinho desperdicado,
Por tua covardia...

Te agradeco pela forca herdada,
Por saber que nao te tinha,
Pela pele que me arrepia,
Por ser tao digno desta vida.

De joelhos te perdoarei,
pelo amor que me usurpaste,
e sobretudo....
Pelo pao, pelo qual,
me trocaste.

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
