Vessel Of Mystery Poem by cecil hickman

Vessel Of Mystery

In the vessel of mystery, the scholars flee.
In the light of science, everyone may see.
From the past, we hear the truth so told.
Into the future, we scurry ever so bold.
Time stands still, a minute not an hour.
Inner peace shall complete total power.
Total power not to be shaken or placed,
Complete passion to be eagerly faced.
In our vessel of mystery that we carry,
Our mind shields, ideas that will vary.
Mysteries in fiction are just stories told.
The same in non-fiction chills us cold.
Vessels of both continue our great venture.
Without either, there would be no adventure.
