Victory

Goof goof goof
Black cat on my roof
Midnight gory spoof
Back witch failed to spook
Her spell did not go well
Witch fell down into water well
Vaporized her broom
And her wicked gloom
Moral of the story
My poem’s glory
Do not go out at night
With the intend to cause fright
You might have raw power
Control each folding hour
Power corrupts misleads power
Fall from the highest tower
Intent has a justice sword
A hero’s victory chord

Poem of the Day

poet Sir John Suckling

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
To that alone;
