Vulnerability Poem by grace mariner

Vulnerability

Never have I been as naked as I was with you.
All of my sins laid bare.
Fears exposed.
Wreckage in full sight.
The visible is insignificant when the invisible is revealed.
Hands bound the power relinquished,
only when trust allows.
Never were you as naked with me
as when you spoke your first and last lie.
All of your deceit laid bare.
True nature exposed.
Wreckage in full sight.
The love is insignificant when the hate is revealed.
Your power is lost.
Trust no longer lives here.
