Waiting Poem by Johnathan Todd

Waiting

Rating: 4.0

I'm waiting and waiting but for how much more
I'm waiting and waiting to see what's in store
I've waited for so long but it feels like my time
But I can't help but think that this is past its prime
Maybe I waited for just way too long
But maybe I didn't... I don't want to be wrong
Just give me some time and I'll let you see
That I'm not the same guy that I use to be
I'm sometimes really stupid but I'll let you know I care
I want you to be happy and I want to take you there
When I start to wrinkle I want you to be around
I'm tired of being lost... I'm glad I've been found
I hope you find the courage to give me a chance
I hope you're around for that one last dance
