Waiting For God Poem by James Papastamos

Waiting For God

Their eyes reached for light
Any light
Amid the darkness of
Uncertainty

Their ears hungered for a taste of
Divine interruption, as
Nature's clock
Scourged the
Hands of time

And all...

As nurses,
Doctors and all the like,
scampered about and there to
Pronounce sentence
On those whose only crime was
Never having committed any crime

None at all...
