Wake Up Poem by Faraj Nyandiko

Wake Up

We are all sisters and brothers
From the same father, God almighty.
You're not more special than others,
So stop feeling high and mighty.

Those property belongs to your father,
You need to begin working for yours
That one day you may feed a mother
Independently without depending on theirs.

Stop bragging around, you've got nothing,
At least I've got a little from my own toil.
Don't compare my all with their everything,
I know its nothing compared to your spoil.

Listen, I am not jealous of how you dress,
How you live or where you've been.
At your age it does not really impress
To see you still behave like a teen.
