Walk Away Time Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Walk Away Time

Forty Words:

A romance never happened

There was no azure moon.

He seemed to be dreaming

On that evening in June.

The prophets had told him

Church bells would not chime.

And tears filled his sad eyes

It was 'walk away' time.
