Walk Slowly Through A Garden Poem by Kevin Cox

Walk Slowly Through A Garden

Walk slowly
In a garden,
Do not hasten
On your way.

There many gifts
Await you
Lovely lavender
Bouquets.

Don't miss
The tiny creatures
That all around you
Swarm.

See the beauty
Of the sunlight
Cast it's beams
So bright & warm.

It's okay to gather
Blossoms,
Some from here
And some from
There.

You can make
A lovely garland
To adorn your pretty
Hair.

You must look
All around you
Mustn't miss
A single sight.

Perhaps butterflies
And humming birds
Will in your watchful
heart delight.

And then when
You leave the garden
Don't forget to
Latch the gate.

Others after you
Will follow
Leave for them
A blessing great.
