Walnut Poem by Timothy Faboade

Walnut

Brothers of a curly mother
Share a thick sealed border
Against one another
They lock the one door
None seems to bother
As they manage the war.

Your poem opened my eyes. I have thought about how war separates families and brothers, but never thought of it in the context of a walnut. We have a walnut tree. I've cracked many a walnut, and the image of a walnut really matches with your poem, with two halves separated by a thick sealed border. Well done poem. I'm not familiar with Sestet form. I'll have to look into that. Thanks.
