Waning Moon Poem by Satish Verma

Waning Moon

Rating: 5.0

Civility brings
emptiness. Where do I
fall back? Your eyes will haunt?

Ground zero. Are
you coming to surrender?
To save humanity?

Shell-shocked. Sometimes
you read your palms. What
would I write on wall?

Ingrained our
initials on the pine trunk
to stay till the cones fall?

What do you think?
We will stay together, when
hurricane strikes?
