Want And Need Poem by Jacquelyn Ireland

Want And Need

Wanting and needing are two different things,
Although, they are two things the same.
Needing someone so badly that you can't breathe,
To wanting them so badly that you don't want to breath.

As night falls, your needs and your wants deminish,
Never the less to the rise when
Dawn breaks and your life is not a dream anymore.

Needing me, needing you, we are the same,
Everlasting in the game called life,
Extracting the little things from the big,
Destroyed hearts and scattered lives are nothing.

Want and need are the same.

I really like this poem. It's true too. Your words are wise and strong.

This poem's great. it's very emotional, but fairly simple as well. Thanks. Athena xx

sometimes what we want is not what we get. and what we need is what we get. This was a touching piece of great poetry, well written.
