Wanting For Wisdom Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Wanting For Wisdom

So
many
faux and
completely
false and void
interpretations
accepted by
the masses, acclaimed
by ‘their masters; ' disdained
by those asp worshipers, Yea!
You know ‘them.' You never
see ‘them.' But you believe
in ‘them; ' that ‘they' exist.
Interpretations wrote so
beautifully… of these this
is about genuinely… the need
for men and women to talk openly
enough to understand at least partially
what the phuuck it is; we each are missing
completely in the greater scheme of all things.
We, as a species; are lacking in that universal
attitude. We are divided by longitudes, and by
latitudes expressively. We are, as a society
wickedly exclusionary. Cautiously wary
so very weary and so unaware
of our extraordinary ways and means.
"Imagine, " all of those missing persons, places
and things; in-between the ‘mundane normal'
exhibited and the raising to the exceptional
missing still, on that daily basis nil…
Where are the polite smiles, the casual
greetings; the hugs and the handshakes? Does
this social interacting give you all headaches?
Are you each so quick to judgement? Are you
each so unkind and begrudging? If not; what
the phuuck then are you all thinking?
Just where is your individual wit? And where
is your supposed wisdom? Just what exactly is
your personal societal philosophy? You each are
just like me! Then why are you each hiding from
the truth of your humanity? Are you too dumb
to be allowed to continue on living? Are you
each as the "Grinch, " sullen and withdrawn
and upset with the social orders you are
forsaking? I, live by a combination of
warm Guinness, cigars from Dominica
and strong black coffee'! And each of you?
And then, I read; lyrics of songs, classic books
magazine articles examining life's fundamentals.
My ‘set, ' of living's ‘juice; ' if you please… is
drinking warm frothy Guinness pints; as IAM
studiously wanting for wisdom!
