War In The East War In The West Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

War In The East War In The West

I write this to honour two protagonists
My two favourite paternal antagonists
Robert Murray Smith in stars and stripes
Ready to joust and settle his gripes
Dillip K Swain with the Indian flag
Ready to pin down Smith he wants to drag
Both are devout religious men
They believe stuff rewritten with a pen
I ask both friends of an African friend
Me, Deluke Muwanigwa the Atheist fiend,
Is it not time to forgive and forget?
Is not time to change the subject?
You are breaking my Zimbabwean heart
Seeing India and Us tearing each apart.

US not Us and sorry am not an atheist. I am a scientist. Does forget rhyme subject.....i think so if you pronounce it as subject as in subject Swain to Smiths blows. Poetic licence!
