Warrior Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Warrior

Don't break when you bend me
and I won't lose at any cost
Your life is totaled, I won't be wrecked
I won't be broken,
I won't be fractured
You've failed making you a failure
You've fallen defeated and destroyed
Alienating a richly indigenous society
My home was vandalized
took everything of importance
My heart won't break,
it's honor i'll defend
There's weapons formed against me,
I always will ascend
