Warriors Star Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Warriors Star

We kiss under the warrior stars
Waters stutter like blue python
They come with silent chains
The forest cannot run
Turning into the fallen ones
Nephilim giants of demon pride
Their covenant feathers broken
Their war dance a solemn funeral
Caged and antiques
Horned creatures guard the reservation
Fences of Mars bondage of Venus
Leave the dream of the city of God
This world is just a mountain pass
We hide in the cleft of the rock
Hear the fields weep
Hear the planets warn

Lay your life down against the skeletons
Higher power above the eagles shines
Clouds with fire - smoke with incense
Praise amidst the poison words
Rest in your wrinkled graves
Vengeance is a sword on a white horse
Their science a seance
My woman of sorrow I love you
Have you felt the angels?
Do you see the crushed serpents head
Their temples of power are smitten
Their magicians age like winter
We wait and know our dead will rise
My princess hear the shofar
Our bed is a sword
We are warriors of the stars
