Watching Your Step Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

Watching Your Step

‘Keep your head down
To avoid a dicey situation',
Since eons mankind says,
Else chances would arise
For you to shake like a leaf
And make your blood run cold,
Silly it may seem for the frivolous,
Simple it may seem to the custodians;
Watching your step at every instance
Can only be regarded as
Being wrapped up in cotton wool
When the perpetrators effect their evil acts
Of chivvying even in public thoroughfares.
