Wayward & Seabound-Part 3 (Ending To 'An Enchanting Mermaid' Poem by Jean Dament

Wayward & Seabound-Part 3 (Ending To 'An Enchanting Mermaid'

Rating: 5.0

There once lived two souls whom both loved the sea,
But falling in love with each other was not meant to be,
One being a young, hearty sailor with a wayward way;
While his devoted mermaid lived near a bay,
Many a day she would sit upon a solid rock & weep;
While her untrue sailor sadly too felt guilt & lost many a night's sleep,
Both would dream of a sweet life they could never share,
Each stealing lonely glances with hearts broken beyond repair;
Since life dictated they go on their own ways;
While at times being apart for many days;
Thus in the end their love had to be spent alone & at a distance;
And each had to live out their own life's sad existence.
